Share the Good News

Isa called ordinary people to follow Him and become fishers of people. Sharing the Good News is not only for professional teachers or religious experts. Every disciple of Isa is called to be a witness, to tell others what Allah has done, and to invite them to discover Isa for themselves.

Disciples naturally share. They pass on what they have received and invite others to follow Isa too. Click each heading below to expand or collapse the sections.

Look Back
  • How did you see Allah at work this past week?
  • What stood out to you from the last lesson?
  • Did you obey anything Allah showed you?
  • Did you share with anyone what you are learning?
  • Who in your family, friendship group, or community might be open to hearing about Isa?
Look Up

Read these passages together slowly:

Mark 1:14-15 — "14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel ('Good News') of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” 16 Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 17 And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him. 19 And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. 20 And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed him."
Matthew 4:19 — 19 And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."
Acts 1:8 — "8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
John 1:40-46 — "40 One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ, Saviour). 42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas” (which means Peter). 43 The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 46 Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see."
John 4:28-30, 39 — "28 So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” 30 They went out of the town and were coming to him.... 39 Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, “He told me all that I ever did."
Mark 5:18-20 — "18 As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged him that he might be with him. 19 And he did not permit him but said to him, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marveled."
Romans 1:16 — "16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek (everyone else next)."
1 Peter 3:15 — "15 but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and fear,"
Luke 10:1-9 — "10 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. 2 And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 4 Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. 5 Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house!’ 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. 7 And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. 8 Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’"

SAY

  • What do these passages teach about sharing the Good News?
  • Who does Isa send: only experts, or ordinary followers?
  • What is simple and reproducible about the words "Come and see"?
  • What can we learn from the woman at the well about immediate witness?
  • What can we learn from the healed man who was sent home to tell his people?
  • What does Luke 10 teach about prayer, peace persons, homes, hospitality, and simple witness?
  • How should we speak about Isa with both courage and gentleness?

OBEY

  • Who is one person I could pray for and intentionally speak with this week?
  • What simple story can I tell about what Allah has done in my life?
  • Can I invite someone to read a passage from the Injil with me?
  • Am I ashamed, afraid, or silent when I should gently speak?
  • Where might Allah already be preparing a person of peace?

SHARE

  • Who can I invite to "come and see" what the Injil says about Isa?
  • Who could I tell about one thing Allah has done for me?
  • Who could I invite into a simple discovery conversation?
  • Who could I teach to share the same simple message with someone else?

Sharing the Good News is not the final step. It opens the door for people to become obedient disciples of Isa. The next lesson will focus on helping others grow, obey, and reproduce as disciple-makers.

Simple Ways to Share

The Injil shows ordinary people sharing in simple, natural ways:

  • Announce the message: the Kingdom of Allah is near; repent and believe the Good News.
  • Invite people: "Come and see."
  • Tell your story: explain what Allah has done for you.
  • Point to Isa: help people discover Him from the Injil.
  • Look for peace persons: people who welcome the message and open relational doors.
  • Speak with gentleness and respect: courage without arrogance.
  • Pass it on: disciples naturally help others hear, obey, and share.

The aim is not to win arguments. The aim is to bear witness to Isa, invite people to discover the truth, and help them take the next step toward obedience.

Look Ahead

Choose one practical response this week:

  • Pray daily for one person who needs to hear the Good News.
  • Share one short testimony of what Allah has done in your life.
  • Invite someone to read one passage from the Injil with you.
  • Ask Allah to show you a person of peace.
  • Practise a simple "Come and see" invitation.

Ask: Who will I share with this week, what will I say, and who will ask me if I did it?

Commissioning

Pray together.

  • Thank Allah for the Good News of Isa.
  • Ask for courage to speak without shame.
  • Ask for gentleness, respect, wisdom, and humility.
  • Pray for people of peace in your family and community.
  • Ask Allah to make every disciple a natural witness and disciple-maker.
